Let’s face it, we love to grill on our hibachi grills, but hate to clean. We know it has to be done to keep the grill looking new and a dirty, rusty grill is just disgusting. But that doesn’t change the fact that scrubbing the grill after every use is typically a tedious task, until now.
We put the “As Seen On TV” Grill Daddy grill brush to the test to determine if it really works as advertised, and if we would recommend it. Read on to discover the results of our Grill Daddy review.
The Grill Daddy is advertised as the “Revolutionary grill-cleaning tool” that sterilizes as it cleans. Just heat-up your hibachi grill to preheat the grate, fill the Grill Daddy’s internal reservoir with water, and effortlessly let the high quality stainless steel bristles and the power of steam easily break-down and clean off the baked-on food, black residue, and grease without any hard scraping or the use of any harmful chemicals.
The manufacturer suggests that you preheat your grill prior to cleaning it but we have found that the Grill Daddy works best for us if we simply use it just after pulling our food off. A few easy brush-swipes and the grill cools nice and clean, and is ready for its next use.
Whether you grill daily, weekly, monthly, or annually – the grill daddy is the perfect solution for ensuring your grill is always sparkling clean, in tip-top shape and ready for its next job.
At first, we were a bit skeptical ordering one considering the Grill Daddy was an “As Seen on TV” product because we have had issues in the past with lower-quality items through them that didn’t necessarily live up to the claims.
But, considering what a pain cleaning the grill is for me and the fact that the Grill Daddy was less than $20 we said what the heck. And besides, it came with a 30 Day money back guarantee (which we are quite comfortable using if necessary).
I for one am so glad we ordered one. After testing the Grill Daddy out for 2 months now it is our opinion that it is indeed a good buy at just under $20. In fact, I like it so much I’ve even sent 3 out to friends and family as gifts, including my father in law who now swears by it.
The Grill Daddy is available at many outdoor retail stores from around $14 – $20. We found the best Grill Daddy deal was actually directly through the manufacturer because you not only get the best price, but you also get some generous bonuses such as their current Best Grill Daddy Deal that also includes a nifty beef thermometer.
We’ve been stunned how well this little gizmo works. Grilling used to start off with the really gross process of cleaning the grills, which often made me skip grilling altogether because I just didn’t want to deal with it. Now, it’s a simple, quick process and we’re grilling ten times as much as we used to. ”
Well I grilled some chicken breasts and purchased this item and did not clean it for a few days until the Grill Daddy Pro arrived. (disgusting yes I know) but I guessed this was the ultimate test with old hardened grease on parts and bottom.
My Grill Daddy review: No need for instructions, common sense does it, heat up grill pour water in and go at it. This grill brush cleaned my Kenmore grill well beyond expectations, and I noticed there was no abrasive scarring of finish on bottom of grill and sides ended up almost like new.
You can purchase without reservation, I am already looking to purchase additional brush heads because I suspect the manufacturer to either go out of business or discontinue this model of grill brush and I will not be able to replace. ”
Simply fill the Grill Daddy with water, pre-heat your grill (I recommend with the cover closed) for ten minutes, then turn it off and use the Grill Daddy. As the water comes out it turns to steam and makes cleaning the grill a snap with a little “elbow grease.” There are two cleaning heads: a brush that works with the steam, and metal wires for more heavy duty scraping and cleaning between the grates.
I suggest you wear a cooking mitt when you clean the grill to avoid burning yourself with the steam.
Although this product is made of plastic, which obviously is susceptible to heat, this was not a problem in cleaning the grill. As long as you don’t touch the grill with the plastic, you don’t have to worry about it melting.
This is much easier and more effective than using an ordinary brush. The water not only creates steam that helps remove the buildup, but also reduces the friction of rubbing, so you don’t have to exert as much effort as with an ordinary brush.
My Grill Daddy review: This is a very simple way to clean your grill with a minimum of effort, and you will see that it is much cleaner than if you had used an ordinary brush. ”
